Ridin’ Dirty, a classic album that was given to us by the Legendary duo from Port Arthur, TX that is UGK. This album solidified them not only in the music history for the south, but for music in general. At the time (1996) Pimp C was one of the few, producers using live instrumentation & musicians in his music. High life is an ode to a feeling that you chase when you get that first high, but also a sense of living high, trying to do better for yourself. In music’s current state, this blueprint (content/subject matter wise) is being followed by Big K.R.I.T. & he’s done just as UGK did by putting out the music people can relate to, gaining his core/true fan base, & making the music that makes your head nod, but still including a message. I hope you can appreciate this song as much as I have for the last 16yrs. Enjoy -Mogul
