august alsina, the product 2, knucklehead, def jam, mixtape, singing, rap, New Orleans native August Alsina is back again, but this time he’s brought DJ Drama along with him. “The Product 2″ is nothing short of dope, and could possibly be labeled as an album. With Production from his go to producer Knucklehead (I Luv This Shit Ft. Trinidad James), these two come up with some great records and sounds that you wouldn’t think to hear a singer crooning over. But Let me tell you, the tales that August tell are everyday living of someone who’s come up in the hood. Whether you made it out or you’re still there, you can identify with the lyrics. The project features The Dream, Roscoe Dash, & Curren$y on the artist side, and production from Knucklehead, Jazze Pha, Spinz, and SK. Don’t hesitate to stream or download this. Enjoy.

j. cole, maine on fire, rap, hop hop, born sinner, still ray, sample J. Cole FINALLY drops the CDQ version of “Maine On Fire” which was only performed at a few shows in the past. The track samples Raphael Saadiq’s “Still Ray“, for those of you who don’t know where, or want to know where it comes from. The trombone, bass, & keys are so easy to listen to and put you in a good zone. Yet,  Cole Doesn’t disappoint at all, not one step, bar, or inflection in his voice. He’s hungry and he’s displaying that with every track that has been released so far. Enjoy the record, and prepare for the release of “Born Sinner” on June 25th.
