NWA can be called the main groups or pioneers of gangsta rap. Also, they’ve been deemed as the most important rap group of all time. “Express Yourself” is from the groups 1988 album “Straight Outta Compton” which was released on Ruthless/Priority/EMI records. The songs is about freedom of expression, censorship & constraints placed on those in music. This record has been licensed in video games such as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4, and EA’s Skate. Production was handled by none other than Dre himself, along with DJ Yella.
